Default Zimmermann OE Brake rotor replacement question...

Some sites require you to select the rotor based on whether or not you have Lucas calipers while others don't make a distinction.

Is there a difference in the rotors?

Pic of Zimmermannn x-drilled rotor for views.

Default I'm thinking there's no difference as some sites don't offer a choice. But I'm confused as to why

some do offer two options. Hoping to get some confirmation before ordering... I'd hate to get the wrong ones (if it does make a difference).

Default Re: Zimmermann OE Brake rotor replacement question...

when I orderd mine, I had 2 options for the non crossdrilled and only one for the crossdrilled.. Im pretty sure your on the worldpac site as this is where I ran into it..

i am assuming since there is only one crossdrilled there is really only one rotor...

Default i doubt theres a difference. what site(s) asked for specification? i've never heard of that.

you might want to try calling zimmerman to see if they even make two distinct fitments for the b5s4

Default PureMS for example doesn't specify a difference...

while Drivewire.com does.

Default to be honest, purems is rarely wrong about any fitment or compatibility issues....i'd just order

from them unless they are a lot more money...which usually isn't the case...probably a few bucks differnce each. Also keep in mind, a lot of those parts sites are setup that way to provide the most information possible even if its not really relevant since well....they might not know its relevant. my 2 cents. then again, if i were you i'd ask too, but i won't need to order front brakes til spring.

Default And here's the part where I smack you on the back of your head . . .

drivewire lists the same part number for both brake rotors, regardless of calipers . . .

put two and two together . . . .

same brake discs . . .

Default D'oh! Thanks.

ETKA shows only one caliper and rotor as well so the difference must just be in naming.
