Quick question: where do I look with the VAGCOM to determine my ECU box type?
I'm about 99.99% sure that I am an M box, but I need to check, and I'm too lazy to open the box up. Or is it that I don't wanna freeze? Oh well, same difference.
Already STFA; didn't see anything obvious.

Open the Engine module and it'll be listed in the basic information.
 In the screenshot above, the ECU# is 06A 906 032 E. -Dave Pramanik

K, so what do I look at in that number? Does the 06A mean it's an A box?

Right. For a B5 S4, it'll be 8D0 907 551 X where X is the box.
