Default n00b Darintake question: Does the cover go back on with a cone filter?

I plan on doing this mod this week. After STFA, I only have this one question.

Thanks, homies,

Sig eventually goes <here>...

Default I don't think so...haven't seen any unless they've been significantly modified from stock.

Default Really? don't say X-1 Racer's air box - that would be rubbing it in.

Default The whole point of the darintake is to suck the air from the bottom of the wheel well.

If you leave the top off, you'll suck hot engine bay air.

Additionally, if you leave the top off, you'll have NO place to put the 2 ignightors that are heat sinked to the top of the air box.

Default Agree, but will the stock air box cover be able to go back on without modification to the box?...

I thought that was part of his question.

Default Assuming your cone filter is as big as a paint can, sure!

Default You just need to make a hole in the bottom of the box...

Default Yes, sorry. My bag. Would this be considered "Paint Can" size?

I don't think it'd fit in a stock airbox.
