With the GB going on, I'm getting the feeling that most here are positive about the RS6's superiority over plain KO4's. Is there really that big an advantage of the RS6's over the plain O4's??
There seems to not be much difference between power output between the two. At least there was not much difference at all on the dyno durring the ET GP (Zev's car actually made more power and TQ that one day). Speaking with Jeff Moss last Sunday his opinion(and he tuned both of the S4s in the GP) was that the hybrids might make a small amount more eventually, but nothing significantly more than plain jane O4s. He just did not think the benifit was worth the cost. BTW I know all dynos are different, but at least these two were done on the same day/dyno. The Stasis car does have nicer curves(HP/TQ), but is that worth the cost of the RS6's? How does Mike2kS4's car compare to these two...is it significantly (50whp ^) more than the KO4 car?? I think this is a relavant question especially since people are making this choice with the GB going on. Any comments? Oh, and the two dyno runs were on race gas I think. Ben's car ![]() Zev's car

AWE fueling kit which is NOT stable particularly for airflow changes. The rs6 wheels are capable of about 10% more flow if you can get the air past the turbine housing.
And comparing race gas #s for a primarily street-oriented car is a bit silly imo. But regardless just open up the turbine housing, you'll be happy you did. |

put out MAD torque with his K04/RS6 hybrids (he was one of the early adopters) on stock IC's. Most impressive. It was real hot day also.
If I had it all over, I would get the K04/RS6 hybrids with some of the options. Would just need to get a bit more comfortable with the reliability, which appears to be solid with these hybrids.

in the process of making software for RS6 hybrids as well.
I don't want to argue one way or another, but I'd take RS6 hybrids over straight K04s any day of the week. |
