Default Those with RNS-E, have you or anyone for the matter came up with great idea for....

filling the little gap/space on the left/right side of the RNS-E?

I've been thinking and have had a couple ideas but they don't really sound like it would look good.

An idea I was some door edge molding cut to size? But even that doesn't really sound that great. So lets hear what you got. Maybe if we brainstorm out loud about this maybe we can figure something out.

Default I had thought about taking an RNS-E faceplate off as well as a Symphony one, and then...

taking measurements of them both to create a diagram for a plastic fabricater to use. Probably the best idea, but I'm sure it would involve lots of $$$. Not to mention, personally the gaps don't really bother me.

Default How easily is the faceplate removed from the RNS-E?

Default Hard (at least harder than what most people want to try with a $1500 nav unit)... but I can do it.

Default The faceplate came RIGHT off of my symphony radio :)

Needed to do a little pulling. The radio was stuck in the dash, so I pulled the sides until the 4 plastic screw holders snapped, and the faceplate snapped off (plugs into rest of radio w/2 connectors).

Default Little more complicated with the RNS-E...

You need to remove and disconnect the screen for one.
