What is the gearing difference and price?

Default Re: Transmission BT: Stock vs Euro Spec vs Stasis

$4,084.31 for the close ratio
$2,227.00 for the standard gearing rebuild (cryo-REM treatment on 1st & 2nd gears with new syncros and clips along w/ the 4:1 bias center diff

not sure on the Euro-Spec or RS4 transmissions. Come to think of it...we have a lot of options! I'd personally go with the STaSIS setups. Although...Close Ratio > Standard Rebuild IMO

Default By the graph, 6th is and 5th is not. I asked what the actual gear ratios were and they didn't answer

3rd should be 1.41 and 4th around 1.10 or 1.07 (I forget which) given that it's from the allroad transmission. 5th might be 0.86, which is common in Audis too.

I'd rather have the taller range from the RS4 and A4 3.0 of 1.32 3rd and 1.03 4th myself, even if that is a tad slower in a race that starts out at slower speeds, and keep 5th the same as-is at 0.81.

Default that would have been nice if josh made it to eurotuneer gp

then you could have seen a little about the difference between the RS4 tranny and Stasis tranny on a road course......where it counts

Default so you're saying you'd rather have the RS4 ratio over Stasis? why??

Default yup..........

it would have been interesting to see if gearing had any play it the results on the road car........i guess the same driver would have had to drive both though.

Did Paul drive your car Ben?
