Default How much....

did it cost for the kit, and how long did it take to install?

What would you be willing to pay for a bluetooth kit that was a lot more plug and play - you would just attach it to the db25 in the trunk, and the controls would attach to the rj45 in the armrest?

Default Re: How much did it cost for the kit

The kit runs about $100 on the web and it took me just under two hours to install. I would have paid more for an Audi specific kit that mounted by the db25, but I don't know of any manufacturer that makes such a kit.

Default Not Audi specific nor plug and play, but very nice install

Web prices on the IHF 1000 are about $225. I'm putting the Motorola into the R32 in a few weeks.

Default Thanks. I got it on Ebay for just over $200 a couple of weeks after it was released.

Where you able to retain the stock mic?

Default Couple of hours. Mark P did most of the work.

Based on posts here, we didn't even try to use the stock mic. I just ran the wire for the supplied mic up the A-pillar and mounted it on the small sun visor just above the rear-view mirror. Seems to work pretty well in that location.
