Default 3.27 FATS with 94 + Octane Booster!

I decided to test out an Octane Booster to see if it worked. The thought was that if I was in a pinch and couldn't find Sunny 94, I could fill up on 93 and drop some Octane Booster to get 94 (car runs so much better on 94...).

So on my next fillup I put in NOS Racing Octane Booster (10.99 @ Autozone). Supposedly, this would get me to aproximately 96 Octane or so:

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2039533.phtml
http://www.hovis.cc/Firebird_HTML/octane_booster.htm

My previous FATS best was 3.57 on .25 tank of 94 @50F. With the Octane Booster @ 30F and a .25 tank, I dropped 3 tenths to 3.27!

I also reached my new high MAF reading of 318.5 g/s.

According to the HP graphs, that's around a 50HP gain going from 3.5 to 3.2.

That was just a 2 octane increase, I'm wondering what my FATS time would be on 104?

Guess the right octance boosters really work...

Default hmm that octane booster should have given you 93.4 octane, not 96

Default 1 octane *point* raises octane 1/10 ie 93.0 to 93.1 AFAIK. Search the archives "octane booster"

Default Not according to links inside...

http://www.hovis.cc/Firebird_HTML/octane_booster.htm

http://www.gtatech.com/news_au_articl.html

http://www.europeancarweb.com/tech/0...ost/index.html

I hope that's right as that means my car is a lot faster than I thought it was!

But the only variables that changed between my 3.57 run and the 3.27 runs was temp (20 degrees cooler) and Octane Booster. I ran at the exact same location for both.

Default 20 degrees cooler is a big difference. Also, if you are using VAG-Com then it's easy to get

different times because it's not as exact with data samples far apart.
