Default "quattro" in our cars is a Torsen center, open front & rear diffs and a independent ABS..

...which the ECU uses in conjunction with electonic throttle control to offer ESP (with the addition of yaw sensors) and EDL.

Default Audi's way of saving money on using a mechanical limited slip differential in the car front or rear

at a significant cost savings to them and a significant performance disadvantage to us.

Default yep, they should be sued for false advertising

All they do is add additional software to get the existing ABS hardware to control wheelspin. By the wording, you would think the differential itself was somehow electronically controlled..

I tried to prove it again today, but I believe the EDL also includes TCS, which will cut throttle if you spin the tires too much in 2nd or 3rd gear (like in the rain). There was too much traffic to goof around on the way home from work
