Default what's word on heat wrapping hot parts during a stage3 install?

Is it just better to ceramic coat (or buy vasts) xhaust manifolds? do you run any risks of doing such...

I know very little about exhaust wrap and you never hear about it being done...

anyway, please enlighten me...

Default the exhaust mani is dual walled. it doesnt create as much heat as a normal mani.

i wrapped the lower inlet pipes that go into the snout with reflective heat tape.

Default every little bit helps IMO......it's tough to quanitify the effects of each little thing though

when you're doing more than one modification at a time.

Thermal heat tape and stock coated exhaust This is what i would do

This is what[badmoonrising]said

Forget the heat wrapping on the inlet pipes...

The wrap just ends up falling off the tape and the pipes look horrid IMO. But I'd like to see if anyone actually gets noticable gains doing this...no really I would.

Default noticeable gains.....that is the question

what if it dropped IAT's by 2 degrees.....is it worth it? That's up to user i guess.

But on the port/polished/coated exhaust mani subject i would argue that there are noticeable gains...both in reduced spoolup and reduced underhood temps.

Default some have, i probably will when i go to RS4 pipes......

though i lean more towards wrapping the inlet pipes just so there is a nice physical barrier between the manifolds and inlet pipes.
