Default Stasis SS or Vogtland... Give Pros and Cons, Trackability(is that a word)?

STaSIS Street Sport Suspension

KONI Adjustable Dampers
KONI Progressive Rate Springs
Cadmium Plated Steel Damper Bodies
Height Adjustable
Damping Adjustable when Removed from Vehicle (rebound only)
KONI dampers are used in our Street Sport line. These are twin-tube dampers featuring KONI's Sport valving.

Additional features include a corrosion resistant cadmium plated damper body (when threaded), damping
adjustability and height adjustability.

Rear dampers feature the same performance as the front dampers.

Vogtland Coilover Suspension Kit - $1,150 (B5 A4 and S4 Quattro Sedan and Avant)
Height adjustable - 1.0" to 3.0" lower than stock

Height adjustment wrenches included

Perfect for street use and an improvement at the track

Progressive springs with front 500-590 lbs/inch rate and rear 440-570 lbs/inch.

We recommend a larger rear sway bar with these kits

Made in Germany

Default iirc vogtland is linear, that SS kit is progressive

i was going to get the vogtlands myself, but then i got a sweet deal on the H&R ultras and i love them.

Default the spring rates

linear = the rate is the same all the way through ( good for track, less forgiving on the road)

progressive = the rate changes depending on how much force is applied. it will have a range... lets say from 300-500. 300 is comfy for small bumps in the road, but when you push the car and the spring compresses more, it will be stiffer.

i probably didnt explain that right, but oh well

fyi H&R ultras are progressive front ( for comfort) and linear rears.

Default The Vogtland's have progressive rate springs also. Just a higher rate than the Stasis SS's.

The Vogtland shocks are not adjustable like the Stasis, but you do have to remove the Stasis to adjust them. To me that just means that once the Stasis are installed, they might as well not be adjustable either.

Default not sure. the stasis does have adjustab le shocks... im not sure about the vogtlands

honestly i would buy the stasis tracksports. they are more money, but a much better product.

im not a suspension expert though so i cant give you a difinitive answer regarding those 2. all i know is i wanted a stiffer rear than the front, thats why i got the ultras.
