when changing the cv boot, how do you remove the 14mm Alen from the outside of the rotor

on jackstands (assuming it is a front wheel), and have someone stand on the brakes really hard while you crank the bolt.

btw, have you read the first link in my sig? If that upper control arm bolt doesn't budge, you may want to call it quits and take it to a mechanic.
