Default I'm getting ready to install new APR-BiPipe and have a two questions for the DIY crowd...

1) The APR instructions does not mention the need to take the front bumper off. Does the install go easier if the bumper cover is off?

2) Step 49 of 53 from the APR instructions suggests that one "use an o-ring assembly lube to ensure that the o-ring seats properly." What exactly is an "o-ring assembly lube"?
* (And no, KY-Jelly does not count!)

TIA for your help!

Default 1 no , 2 no need for lube. just make sure you push the pipe alll the way on before tightening it

the bolts could strip out the aluminum intame manifold.

just makes sure the o ring isnt twisted.

Default It's easier if you do (1), motor oil (2)...

I did mine with a TB install. It is a lot easier to install the 3 bolts on the Throttle Body mount if you don't have the lock carrier in the way. I suppose it can be done. I recommend that you drill out the 3 holes to a larger diameter so that you can actually thread the mounting bolts in to adjust for mounting tolerances.

Default Are you referring to the mounts near the pass. and driver side intake pipes?...

I'm not picturing the three holes that you are referring to...I hope you are not suggesting the holes on the actual throttle body. I'd be afraid to modify anything on that piece, especially since the APR kit comes with specific bolts and washers for the stock TB. Can you clarify for me? Thank you.

Default no need for lube?

I don't think you want to press the bipipe over the two small orings without some kind of lube. The dry surfaces might shear the orings. I hit the inside oring mating surface of the bipipe with very fine sandpaper to be sure it was smooth, then cleaned it up and put a very light coat of gel silicone on it. To each his own though
