Default Finally found what the problem is...

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their support especially ImolaRocket who promptly sent me a XR chip so I could promptly break one of the prongs and render it useless and to JasonS4 who overnighted his spare hitachi MAF so I could do some testing before actually buying one.

So, I took my car up to my installer's and pressure tested to discover a small leak at the passenger side intake pipe directly connected to the turbo. Probably slipped an 0-ring or something. At 5psi the leak was small but at 20psi, it's obviously a different story.

I had pressure tested a week or so ago but found nothing. It might be related to the size of the leak at low pressure but I am just glad to find it this time.

FWIW, I got no dtc's and no cel relating to the leak. My only clues were part throttle hesitation, low g's, high LTFT's, coldstart misfires on all cylinders and low O2's at WOT. Plus when I pushed the clutch in and got vacuum, I would loose that pressure after ~1 second.

I left it at the shop and he said he'd have it ready asap. Hopefully, this is the fix I've been looking for. </crossing fingers>

Also, to those are thinking that I regret going the homebrew route... think again. I'd be bored with all that plug n' play bullsh!t.

Default Crossing fingers for you too. Finding little gremlins can be trying.

Default yep.. after breaking the XR chip, I went straight to hittin' the bottle.

I can't help but laugh thinking about the 5 minute, blank, trying to stay sane but about to seriously loose it look on face after seeing that little fvcking thing break off. LOL.

Default Previous Threads...

Basically, I was having a reoccuring issue where I was getting low g's and very lean 02 readings but high LTFT's. I had pressure tested before and found nothing.

Default awesome - just wait until you feel what your car will do when it's working right!
