With a MBC *only* set over 1 bar, you may experience TC in the upper RPMs without a TCD. Here are some graphs to show what I mean....
Notice how actual and requested boost diverge at ~5,500 RPM. ![]() As you can see above, the biggest boost deviation occurs at ~6,000 to redline. At that point, throttle would cut on my car. Notice how MAF drops (due to throttle plate closing as a result of the boost deviation) at that point in the RPMs.... ![]() Again, you only have to worry about this problem if you go with a MBC *only* setup. With that said, I recommend MBC in parallel with the N75 on K03s. With this setup, the MBC only clips the boost spike. When boost is below the MBC's setting, the N75 controls the boost...allowing the boost to taper as the ECU requests and thus not inducing throttle cut. |

L308x feels smmother, because it does not have the torgue peaks and valley's caused by overboost TC. Take a look at these graphs in the links. In my testing, K08x is "slightly" faster than L308x, but not appreciably so (~3.5 HP) overaged over 4200-6500 RPM range...

with L308x. Partial throttle response very good.
