Default Stupid question about boost on the S4...

Talking with a friend that picked up a nice B5 S4 a little while ago made me think of something. Let me know if my reasoning is out of whack or if I'm actually right. If the intake manifold is seeing 1 bar of boost, and since the engine is a twin turbo, then each turbo is only producing 1/2 bar of boost. Yes, No??

Default If you had 2 tanks. Each at 100psi and both connected to a y-valve

you put a pressure gauge downstream of the y-valve and open the tanks are you going to see 200 psi? No. where would the extra pressure come from? Same as the car.

Default I believe that the pressure between the turbos thru the intercoolers and to the intake mani

should be almost the same.

Default ?? Doesn't matter how many throttle bodies you have. Boost won't be multiplied.

Default The turbos split the volume required to make 1 bar 'o boost, not the pressure.

Default Parrallel system. Each turbo is making the full amount but 1/2 the flow.
