Default Track Sport - H Sport sway bar - New Rear sway bar links - I got Some Questions

Track Sport @ about 15.25" w/ 500/600/sport lbs springs -- Selling 700/800 lbs springs

H Sport front 35 mm and rear 22.5 mm sway bars

New Rear sway bar links

(pictures are taken from http://www.pure-motorsport.com/index.php)

Driving conditions: I drive trough cyn roads a good amount / will be doing a few track days in the future.

Questions:

1. So will I have any problems running this setup?

2. How will the H Sport sway bars play a roll in the setup? (too much / too little ?)

3. Will there be a problem with the C/O w/ Sway bar hitting each other?

Any comments / suggestion from people with similar setup?

TIA,

Edy

Default I ran a similar setup... Tracksport 550F/650R/Sport with Intrax front/rear bars

There was a bit of understeer that I couldn't dial out, but the ride quality was good. When I had the Intrax bars on the same Tracksport setup with 700/800 springs the car handled incredibly and was very neutral, but ride quality sucked... As in way too harsh...

With the Ohlins and 700F/800R I got a bit of understeer with the Intrax bars when I had the dampers setup for good ride quality. Swapping to a hollow A4 bar in the front has helped get things neutral again.

Default After BoneStock (Chris) took me for a ride last week, I was impressed....

The car feels pretty neutral and is planted on corners. Definetly a worthy investment if you have the funding for Ohlins.

P.S. - Even at 40mph around a nice curve you can whip the tail out and push it with the throttle! Right Chris? haha.

Default I have the TS... when I spoke to Stasis about the next upgrade, they recommended the Center Diff ...

and the rear sway at the same time. They kinda advised not to do the rear sway without the center diff though...

Default Eddy, I have your exact setup. I just installed the rear (with PMS end links)and its on soft.

I LOVE IT! Beware that your ride will get a bit firmer. I'm going to back my damping off a click or two. Sort of strange it got stiffer, but the change in handling is unbelievable! Its almost as big as going from stock to the TS's. I also have a DTS so that adds to the stiffness of the car. The car just flat out hooks up around corners....still a bit of push on high-speed entry, but once turned in, it's like its on rails as the rear end just snaps in line not too loose. I'm still on snow tires too, so I can just imagine if I had good street tires.

I got an email yesterday from Hotchkis and one of its engineers and I'll post the gist of it when I get home. Basically I asked if it was OK to run just the rear bar. His opinion was that for optimal handling, you should run both bars.

To your specific questions:

1. No problems
2. They will help dramatically!
3. No interference problems...just make sure you don't try and install the rear bar upside down!
Don't ask...doh!

Default Your last paragraph is just silly.

This is exactly the place to gain information re: our setups! Talking to biased manufactures will get you lopsided information. Asking people with real world(abet anecdotal) information gives you more to base your informed decision on.

Of course you need to educate yourself on the fundamentals of suspension, but asking questions is how we learn!

Default This will give you much more understeer...you don't want that.
