First off, it is almost impossible to run a FATS time around new york especially when you really don't know the area.
Weather was on the verge of rain and about 60 The program I logged tonight was the 1.6Bar and 85% duty cycle on the Apexi with AWE K04 code + 5% primary With my new O2s from Piggy, my O2 problem seems to be fixed (when I compare to my old runs prior to the Apexi and new O2 install) but I will have to add more Primary as you will see from the graph - I was able to do a Primary + 7.5 Primary in 2nd gear but O2s still only saw .86 - I think at this boost level it will be +10% or more The car was 1/2 second faster then the stock AWE Boost level (FATS = 3.97) but I felt that I have lots more work to do to get the Apexi duty cycle to ramp faster + shape the boost curve to spike to maybe 1.7 Bar and then run 1.65Bar to almost redline I think this may be the first post of Piggy's 1.35 Bar TCD in action MAF - same as usual (I seriously don't know how a few days ago a 300+ MAF value was posted with a Piggy tuned AWE KO4 kit running a TCD and MBC ![]() Intake Air Temps (Piggy's Phenolic spacers were used) ![]() Timing Retard (at 1.6Bar) O2s (shape of curve is better with new O2s - just needs shifted up) Timing (Probably the best AWE KO4 timing curve I have logged yet - more fuel should help) Also, the Apexi can be heard in the car when the valve is firing (not sure if this will go away once "learning" has taken place Comments appreciated

I would richen it up a % or two before increasing the boost any more. Otherwise, it looks very nice, precisely what I'd expect.

I don't understand how a few days ago the Piggy Tune AWE KO4 car running a TCD and MBC showed 300++
I'm less than 1/2 a second off his time and 1/2 a second faster than my previous times yet I still have the same MAF readings ?

This is my MAF graph versus previous non Apexi graphs - you car see mid range is higher with the higher boost but it finishes at the same level - nowhere near 300++ - ??

Different air intakes/MAF's can produce different readings. I've seen cars with some intake setups pull 320's and run mediocre. My car, before I smoothed my airbox outlet I had numbers like that. After I smoothed it out, 280's. Just as fast. Also, AWE code tinkers with the MAF readings a bit. I wouldn't worry too much about that number.
I think your car can gain a good amount by tweaking up to ~1.7 in the midrange and 1.6 after 6000 and by richening your fueling to ~.87x from 4500rpm on up. |
