Grrrrrrr. OK, anyone know why my shiftrod might be rubbing at this location? Where did we go wrong?

Installed the STaSIS tranny and everything went well except this. Neutral is extremely stiff and I can't get in the 2nd and 4th gear gates because of this rod rubbing and scraping up against the the top of the tranny. Pic: courtesy of Piggie, and no this isn't my actual tranny.

Any ideas?

I THOUGHT I recalled mine was that way.

side of the tranny, shouldn't be over the top iirc. I have maybe 1/2" of clearance on mine, enough to run my finger between the rod and tranny housing. Everything turned the correct way? Not sure what you've got on yours.

Also on the shifter in the car, proper alignment is slightly to the passenger side and forward toward the dash a few degrees at center/rest. Can you select all the gears the way it is oriented?

the whole bumper. That would have been a PITA. As for the mesh, well you'll be really pleased with the OE look it will have. Especially the taper job he does on the curved outside portion of the insert. He sent me picks a while back of some of the steps he has to take to make it look the way he does, and boy can you say, "clamp much." He uses dozens of them!
