Default New best FATS/FATS+ times with a couple Lemmi changes.....

I decided to pull a little timing and fuel for tonight's testing. I prevoiusly had timing at +1.5 degrees and fuel at -17%. For tonight, I set timing back to +0 and fuel back to -18.4%.

Compared to last night (see link below), the car was .02 seconds quicker in the FATS (4200-6500) RPM range and .15 seconds faster in the FATS+ (4000-7000) RPM range with these tweaks...and tonight's testing was done in 6 degrees warmer weather FWIW.

I did *not* clear codes after making these changes, but I drove around for ~15 miles between making the changes and doing this run.

Note: ~1/4 tank of 94 octane, ~900' above sea level, 51F.

Like last night, ~22.5 PSI peak tapering....

Low end correction went down quite a bit....

I plan to pull a bit more fuel....

Default Why didn't you pull timing sooner? (to test FATS)

Default Good deal. 9 peak CF is a good place to be, imo...

Your car likes teh .86/.87 range When I was on K16 it liked .83/.84 for some reason. Now it's all about the .87x

Default No reason. FWIW, I think it's the fueling change that made a difference.

Actual timing didn't change much, if at all, going from +1.5 to +0. The main reason I pulled the timing was because of the fuel pull. I want to keep leaning it out for sh*ts and giggles.

Default Are worried about weather changes, will it cause any problems for you when you pull fueling?

Colder weather = more/denser air and you will need more fuel.

Default Ummm, we have a MAF sensor. MAF readings go up, more fuel.

Pulling fuel only decreases the air/fuel ratio.

Default Let me re-word it.

You are tunings your car @ 50 deg and making your car run leaner. When it gets wormer let say 95 deg., will the A/F (leaner) mixture be ok for that temp ?

I know you are running higher that 91 octane and maybe it will not make as much difference for you, but if you were running 91 octane w/ the leaner mixture will you have a problem in 95 deg weather?

What I am trying to ask is if you tune your car in extreme cold weather conditions will it be ok in extreme hot weather? Will the ECU / MAF be able to compensate w/ homebrew setup or do you have to "re-tune" it in the summer and again in the winter?

Default It should be fine in both conditions with the pump gas we have out here.

I wouldn't recommend goinig this lean or leaner on 91, though.

Default Do you think 0.87-0.89 would be safe on 91 for winter / summer?
