Default Did some testing in sub 50F temps tonight to see how much temperature really affects K04 performance

Like I've said before, it seems like K03 performance is affected big time by temperature changes while K04 cars seem much more consistent. The results of this testing would support that.

Note: ~1/4 tank of 94 octane, ~900' above sea level, 45F outside.

~22.5 PSI peak tapering to at least ~20 PSI, maybe lower....

Lots o' correction down low, might pull timing back to default for next testing session (currently +1.5 degrees FWIW)....

At first glance, seems on the rich side. I did another run right after and narrowband sensors were reading ~.10-.15 lower, though.

About damn time I logged IATs. FWIW, *very* similar #s on 2nd run less than 2 minutes later....

How do these IATs compare to others with RS4/AWE SMICs? TIA.

Default As usual, looks good JD...

You're a victim of the usual 6500rpm K04 dropoff, but that helps your timing. 85deg peak IAT's! I need to take my car out when it gets that cold here

FWIW: the new injectors are working out well, got some part throttle stuff to work out, but I think my new O2's will take care of that. Oh, and I'm going to try to fill-up with 100 tomorrow... just for the STFU factor

Default And on the IAT's, my delta is normally 20degF on a FATS run.

Default I'm on the fence re: having Piggie tighten them there wg actuators.

I'm just tapering way too damn much. All the other K04 MAF data I see doesn't show a taper like mine does....most just level off at 6500 and hold that to red at the very least.

Sweet, looking forward to some data collection...as always. FWIW, was just talking to SLPRS4 today about picking up some 100 octane to test on my car.

Default You can go 5mm or so on the actuators with no worry of boost creep...

It's worth a shot, no downside there. I don't know whether it will help peak power, but it will probably prevent it from falling off so abruptly.

FWIW, most K04 logs I've seen lately seem to drop rapidly after 6500.

the end of the pull i was at ~ 125.

Default Don't give a pooh about peak power, but more top end wouldn't hurt. ;-)

Default 2nd pull, less than 2 minutes later, started at ~60 and peaked at ~90. ICs rock. :)
