Default Right on schedule! DBA 4000s + Carbotech Bobcats arrived today.

This morning the mail room guy dropped off a (heavy) package with my DBA 4000s from Tantrumwerks and (not-as-heavy-but-still-not-light) package with Carbotech Bobcats from PureMS. I ordered both items last week and they arrived right on schedule - so kudos to both retailers!

I'm doing the front and rears (plus fluid) with the help of a local S4 owner this weekend.

Is it wrong to be excited about doing manual labor on my car for 4 hours on a Saturday?

Default I should sell my DBA rotors since they are just sitting here.

Default Yep, I'm attending an ACNA event on November 5th.

I'll be curious to see how the temp paint works during the event.

I should probably order some track pads soon...

Default That's exactly the setup on my car. Works great. Good luck with the install. Not too hard.

Default Will they get hot enough to "activate" the paint without track pads?

Default Good question. Here's the document posted on the Tantrumwerks web site...

So things start to happen above 458C (or 856F).

Which is pretty hot. ;-p

Default i thought that slotting that extented to the edge of the rotor could lead to cracking?

Default Hey... let me know how it goes...

and how you like them; I'm nearing replacement time for my pads (and probably rotors as well). Who's helping you with the install?

Default The problem is that it comes off with brake cleaner, and you have to clean the rotors

prior to use. All of my paint rubbed off before I even installed mine. :-/
