Default EdyJun's HP and Torque Estimation.

This is done using the torque values that the ECU uses to manage the car. (These numbers are what the ECU uses/sees from the engine)

Using this together with FATS would give you a great way to gauge your car's performance, and also will let your see how and where different aftermarket part will help @ different RPM.

For example:
I did 2 runs, first in 57 deg weather and the second in 80 deg. You can see how the out side temperature will effect the HP and Tq. Between 3K - 4.5K RPM is where the biggest differences are.

By adding better IC you can see if the HP and Tq have changed, better IC will cool better so you gain a bit more between 3K-4.5K RPM (just an example) in hotter weather (90+ deg) and you can see the effects of heat soak @ different RPM.

You can measure the difference in HP and Tq for any part that changes how your car runs and performs and the best part is that its is visual and you can see where it plays the biggest roll.

This type of HP and Tq estimation is not accurate but it is very precious. Since it depends on the data from the ECU, much like FATS.

Keep in mind: the condition of your engine/car , gas, weight, road conditions, altitude have not been taking into effect. But since you will not be changing altitude or car weight as often I would expect it to be very accurate for caparison runs ON YOUR OWN CAR.

For example, my Estimated HP and Tq is 286 and 272 for Run 1 respectively. That those not mean that my car is actually producing that at the crank but what the ECU sees.

If I add an aftermarket ECU the HP and Tq may change to 346 and 380. The Delta will be what the gain or loss is. This type of estimate is very accurate at showing the Delta of such change. But the base line would be off a bit.

If you send me a log of (VAG-Com) bock 120 ONLY as if you were doing FATS in 3rd gear I can generate this HP and Tq estimate for you. Make sure you also provide your car's spec i.e. stage, also make sure that you can get a valid FATS for your log.

Default I thought the consensus was that Blk 120 was not valid for a chipped ECU.
