Default (17964) Charge Pressure Contr. Negative vs. (1796) Charge Pressure Contr. Positive

Can some one explain with great detail, what are the differences between these two?

17964 P1556 Charge Pressure Contr. Negative Deviation

vs.

17965 P1557 Charge Pressure Contr. Positive Deviation

I.e. If the difference between spec and actual boost is great than xx Mbar Negative Deviation is detected.

Default Negative means the system is not getting the requested boost (usually boost leak). Positive means..

the system is getting more boost then requested (ie Ko4's on Ko3 software)

SebGood is 100% stock except for GIAC X and he is getting P1557 - Charge Pressure Contr. Positive Deviation. He is not using K03 software on K04s how do you explain that? Boost leak, weather temp, or something else?

Default Keep in mind this can happen in off throttle situations...

Take a look at some ECUx logs and you'll see there's a slight actual boost spike off throttle...had something to do with bad BPVs I believe.

Default I c, I take it after market chips have a higher threshold. (i.e.instead of 300 mbars, its 500 mbars)
