![]() I have heard a fair amount of stuff lately about how FATS is related to standard benchmarks like 60-90 MPH or HP. This graph shows the relationship between FATS time, road horsepower, wheel horsepower and crank HP as well as 60-90 MPH time all in one place. It is based on the average HP over the 4200-6500 FATS RPM range. For example, If you have a 5 sec FATS time, then the 60-90 MPH time would be about 4.5 sec and your average wheel horsepower over 4200-6500 RPM range on a dyno should be about 268 WHP. There are three kinds of HP curves on this graph: RHP- Road Horsepower measured with FATS or Gtech WHP- Wheel Horsepower measured with dyno CHP- Crank Horsepower An example of the defintion of Ave HP is show in the link below. Note that the previous GIAC-X puts out about 274.5 HP peak on my car, but only 257.9 HP averaged over 4200-6500 RPM range. It is easiest to average the HP over the RPM range if you have the source data, but could be eyeballed from dyno graphs. Bruce

The difference is that you guys use a weight ~3800, whereas I bet my car with me in it is ~3650.

close to 3800 lbs. It's just a spreadsheet, I can generate these curves for any vehicle weight.
