![]() 2000 Audi S4 Does anyone have a schematic of the radio? My S4 doesn't have radio steering wheel controls and I would like to add some switches to my steering wheel to control my radio. This picture shows what some of the pins do, but not quite what I'm after. Can anyone explain what some of the other pins are for? I assume the middle plug with the picture of the speakers and + - is just signal going to the speakers. What does the "option" section control? What do the Audi's with the steering wheel controls wire up to? Thanks |

maybe someone with ETKA can look it up, see if the parts can be purchased on their own.

I would think that in an Audi forum where obviously if you're posting or reading here you just might have an interest in your car and want to expand your horizon. But majority of the responses are unhelpful and only posted to belittle others ideas. Didn't your mother ever tell you if you have nothing good to say don't say it at all?
I just figured there might be some helpful enthusiasts that have also had the vision and ability to modify their car on their own. And as to a steering wheel is for steering, well ok if that's all you can handle. My past BMW's have always had the radio control on the wheel. I've always enjoyed not having to take my hands off the wheel to adjust the volume. |

My X3 has controls on the steering wheel as you mentioned. I so far have not seen this as a large problem on my S4 as I mostly use my Phatbox MP3 player and it has voice cue's for song selection.

Then we traded it in on her Lexus IS300 and when i drove it for a few months i would find myself playing with the back of the steering wheel to control it, but to realize they aren't there......lol
