Default So anyone have some serious track time w/ the Achtuning oil cooler yet? Thoughts?

An oil cooler is my next purchase -- is this the one to go with?

Default Come on, you've got to elaborate on that.

I'm tired of people keeping quiet about problems around here because we're all afraid of upsetting the status quo. If that's the case, I'm ready for a mass exodus back to non-moderated usenet.

Default I can tell you that I helped install one on a tip S4 - it has since been removed.............

The fitment wasn't good as the tranny coolant lines were in the way. Also, it leaked.

That's all I know, it's sitting on a garage floor at the moment. I have no idea if it would have worked on the track to keep temps down, I'd assume it should since it is called an "oil cooler"

Default Thanks. Are you installing one on Oct. 14, or do you have one installed now, and a track event on

the 14th?

Default I'm sure you can piece together a kit yourself for relatively cheap.

This is what Mike@purems did for himself.

Default Thank you. I assume that fitment problem was specific to a Tip though? Where was it leaking from?

Might the owner be interested in selling -- at a steep discount?

Default *shrugs* I prefer that oil cooler since it doesn't seem to block as much airflow as other designs.

But that's a totally different argument.
