Default Update on tonights logging (ko4/16s on AWE KO4 code)

Just went out and did 3 logging runs
1) +1.5 timing +1.5 primary (2nd gear run)
2) 0 timing + 3 fuel (3rd gear run)
3) 0 timing + 5 fuel (3rd gear run)

I filled up with 94 Octane today

The AWE KO4 Code with the K16s runs lean for power without adding fuel

Run 1 - seeing 10 - 12 degrees timing pulled, some 23 knocks and only .82 / .83 O2s at 6500 rpm

Run 2 - seeing 7 - 11 degrees timing pulled, 16 to 18 knocks and .84 / .85 O2s at 6500 rpm

run 3 - seeing 8 - 11 timing pulled, 14 - 19 knocks and .855 O2s at 6500rpm

Run 2 FATS =4.62
Run 3 FATS = 4.39

On my long drive back to NY tomorrow, I will add primary to +7 then up again until I get .875+ 6500rpm O2s

I am still very surprised by the low timing numbers - we shall see if increasing Primary fixes this

Default +7 to +8 is probably the ticket, I would leave timing at 0 for now.

Default 3rd, but maybe you should look into *why* it's lean out of the box....

I don't think you can blame the turbos. If you flow more air, the MAF #s go up and more fuel is injected. Tweaking fuel is only to adjust the air/fuel *ratio*, but the ratio should be fine right out of the box.

Default Good point, on the same note, right ON out of the box ? That's optimistic ..

Default The AFR should be pretty F'n nice right out of the box after dropping a couple grand on the setup.

Otherwise, why buy the setup in the first place if you need to tweak it to run correctly.

Default Seems like most everyone does, based on their various revisions etc. Who knows what most

are even running with these kits.
