Default Electric fan not working. Anyone experience this?

While at a red light I noticed my car gradually getting warmer, and my AC cutting off. I looked under the hood and my electric fan immediately adjacent to the viscous fan was not spinning.
Has anyone had this go bad? I am interested in testing continuity etc from the fan but am unsure which of these connections goes back to that fan (see attached photo) Other than the fan motor being bad, what are the possibilites? This is on my 2K S4 by the way.

Default Ding-Ding. You are correct sir. Thanks a bunch. It was a loose connection.

Your car is absolutely sick by the way.

Thanks again.

Default I'm experiencing this exact problem, I checked the connection in your picture...

Seemed OK to me, any other place I can check? Where was your connection loose? Thanks.

Default I pulled the connector apart and blew it out. Oh, and a couple good knocks on the back of the fan ;)

I had to remove a bunch of stuff to get to the back of the fan to give it the appropriate WHACKS! In the event that you need to replace the fan, I called dads in CA and they had one used for $80. Very reasonable versus $300+ new. It comes with a 6 month warranty.

Interesting..I was having this problem Sunday driving the car home (after purchasing) and being stuck in traffic on I-95, the temp needle was going above the middle and the a/c wouldn't work (gave a code 22.3, pressure switch malfunction). As soon as I got rolling again it was fine though. I'll have to check this connection..thanks!

Default Just to be technically clear, where exactly should I be "whacking" the fan?

What did you need to remove to get at the back of the fan?

Default I gave it some love in several areas, mostly in the center (rear). I doubt that is what fixed it.

But I thought I'd post it because you never really know. Sometimes that is all it takes. One thing I thought was odd is that it never threw a DTC while not working. GoofyNick - The DTC you had about the pressure switch is the exact same I had. It refered to the fact that the A/C was cutting off because of the high temps under hood if I am not mistaken.

Default Is this the fan that is closer or farther from the wiring harness.

I moved around the connector (no whacking yet), one out of two fans is spinning. Not sure which fan is connected to the red/blank and brown wire connector.

Thanks, sorry for so many questions.
