plus, i wasnt very happy with the way AWE handled my phone call. i called them to spend more than $1k, and they just seemed very rude and short... i know theyre busy though, so not sure if i should go by that...

Mine have been 'floating' for a while with no problem, although to be honest it'd be nice to have some kind of real support.

The ICs can likely hang free such as in the example below on my car:
![]() However, they are more secure and you'll have better piece-of-mind if it is anchored in some way: ![]() Here's a shot of both RS4-ICs installed: ![]() Again, going with RS4-IC and doing the minor mods to make them fit is really not that difficult. You've done your own DP install before so this will be relatively easy. Honestly, my installation went very well and the most difficult part was not related to the ICs at all. My custom RS4-bumper was J-rigged diferently than I expected so it took me and my friend two hours or more to make it fit correctly (adding spacers, elbow grease, cursing, etc.). Just make sure you have good hosing (APR) and recognize that you'll likely need to modify your belly pan to accomodate the lower-seated ICs. Check out shot of the installation in my pic-poster or feel free to shoot me an email if you have questions. Good luck!

just interested in what needs to be done. If i go ahead with this, im getting the RS4 ICs, RS4 shrouds, ASP brackets, and APR hose kit... APRs instructions say nothing about modifying the underspoiler, could you please show me a pic of yours, or an explanation? Does the IC hang below the car at all? How tight are the AC lines in front of the pass intercooler? Does the shroud fit over the IC ok with the lines there? looks like theyre pretty close to the core. thanks!!
