Default Common problem revisited... questions on control arms. arg!

Ok, so I'm getting the clunking, thudding, creaking crap. How do I know what needs to be replaced? IS there any such thing as replacing just the bushings? How about I just wrap it in duct tape...

On a 1 to 10 scale of difficutly, how hard would you rate this job? I replaced my tie rod ends easy, I wouldn't think it's much harder than that, but what the hell do I know? ha.

Thanks Guys.

Default well, there is a part number for just the bushing, so presumably...

...if you had a press and new what you were doing, you could just replace the bushings:

For the front, you'd need:

4 - 8D0 407 515 A - Upper
2 - 4D0 407 183 Q - Lower Trailing
2 - 4D0 407 182 E - Lower Leading

If the stud ends are fvcked, you just need new arms as they are integral to the unit.
