might rub if you enter driveways too fast etc. but under normal driving conditions it shouldnt rub much if at all. take it slow any time you're driving on very bumpy surfaces with the wheel turned more than about 90 degrees.

the tire just looked too short. I ended up going with 225-45 Azenis 615's, which look right and are just as wide as the Michelin Pilot 235's...

Just curious because I've been researching and researching and researching to try to figure out if 245/35 Goodyear F1 GS-D3's will run okay on 18x8.5 ET35. That would be 0.1" shorter than stock and 9.7" section width. Shouldn't be a problem, right?
Thanks! |

measured before and after rolling fenders, and with stock and current wheel/tire setup, and at several rideheights. all calculations point to 9.8" without rolling for little or no rubbing. this is a hypothesis at this point because i dont have tires that measure exactly 9.8 wide, and i dont have stock fenders to try them on to see if that really is the limit, but that seems to be the answer. (this is assuming a 35mm offset, which appears to center the wheel in the wheel-well perfectly)
also, leave some room for error/variance in the listed section width of tires. with my heavily rolled front fenders and stock rear fenders, it appears that the limit is more like 10.4 inches (theres plenty of space in the back for more than 9.8"... the front is the active constraint. the tires i currently run look more like 255/35/18 goodyears, so if you have a plain old front fender rolling you should fit those just fine with a 35 offset

You really think 255/35-18 GS-D3's would fit with just fender rolling?

10.2 is the same listed section width as eagle f1 gs-d3's but my tires are 0.2" taller (25.2" as compared to goodyears which are 25.0) my front fenders are rolled, and liners trimmed. rear fenders are stock. no rubbing.
