Default Michael (LI-S4) - I added more detailed drawings of my headlight wiring for city lights, etc

I also added the following description:

The following is the procedure I performed when installing my Euro Headlight Housings and connecting the City Lights how I wanted them to function. The functionality is as follows:

Headlight Switch Position #1:
Only the City Lights are on

Headlight Switch Position #2:
Everything works like stock (Xenons are on, Parking lights are on, City lights are off)

One could virtually wire their headlights to operate however they wanted, this is merely how I choose to have mine work...

Here are the 3 drawings I added. They all show the same thing, just with different degress of detail:

The first shows the general concept of using a relay to allow the above description to occur. That is, normally the power that is provided by the parking light switch goes to the city light - but then when the headlights are turned on, that power is instead directed to the parking lights:

The second picture shows a bit more detail of the actual circuit:

The third shows all of the detail including the location of all of the wires:

Default Re: Michael (LI-S4) - I added more detailed drawings of my headlight wiring for city lights, etc

Excellent! I was going to email you last night!! Spent some time getting the relays wired up. Final install is tonight. Couldn't have done it without your help!

Those drawings are perfect...helps one visualize exactly what is going on. I mod like a sight reader...show what you need done and I do it...

One possible addition to your install text is...where you have...

"Take the purple/yellow wire that goes to the city light and cut it near the plug (not near the city light)"

Consider "Take the purple/yellow wire that goes to the city light and cut it near the plug (not near the city light), leaving about one inch of wire protruding from the plug...you will be splicing in one more legnth of wire".

I was getting all the wires ready and had to study your text to get a visual on it..I was thinking the wire got cut RIGHT AT the plug...

The additional pictures will certainly help, and the additional text can't hurt..

Thanks again!!
