Default I'm sure most of you thought this day would never come, but I finally upgraded fueling!

I decided to go with Bluetops@5bar (~488cc/min) and a RS4 MAF converted for use with Hitachi sensor. Thanks to Piggie and Poppa Piggie for the kickass parts. It's unreal how stock looking the entire setup is, especially the airbox to MAF housing connection. Here is a picture:

Of course, I did some preliminary testing. Piggie thought I was crazy testing and tweaking in the rain, but I couldn't help myself. After spending a little while tweaking, I decided on these Lemmi settings:

I still need to pull more fuel, as evidenced by the graphs to follow, but other than that the car feels absolutely great. The car still drives and idles exactly like it did on stock injectors. The only difference I've noticed is a more pronounced whoosh coming from the intake (stock airbox with stock filter and darintake hole).

Now, onto the fun stuff. Lots of graphs:

~21.5 psi peak boost tapering to ~20 psi near redline....

A bit rich if you ask me....

Curious to see how they change when I pull a bit more fuel....

Boy, it sure is nice to finally have some headroom....

Coming soon: 3.x second FATS times with no rain, no AC, and more fuel pulled back.

As always, comments/questions are welcome and sorry for boring you all.

Default Questions

MBC in parallel I assume ? So you are running X and pulled some fueling and added some timing ? And last why did you go with the bluetops instead of RS 4 injectors besides price ?

Default I am MBC only actually. I really like the MBC only setup.

I am running X chip with 5% primary fuel pulled back and 1.5 degrees of timing added, yes.

I went with Bluetops instead of RS4 injectors purely because of price. I purchased 8 Blutop injectors for $175 shipped, about the price of 1-2 RS4 injectors.

Default You can really feel the extra few pounds of boost! It's truly awesome. I just wish I had those brids

Then, I could run more boost with lower shaft speeds (higher efficiency).

I'll definitely be documenting a lot of testing, that's for sure.

Default so is the walbro fuel pump still unnecessary?

i know you upgraded because your pump had failed. but had the stocker not failed and there were no problems with its reliability, an upgrade would not be needed?

under a different scenario, if you didnt have a 5 bar fpr would the walbro compensate for this? is one not needed if the other is installed?

Default I've been running nearly the same setup for about a year on the stock pump.

Default where did you buy the blue tops , TIA ! i may go in the same direction.

btw does the blue top injector spray look closer to an rs4 or stock .. is it an actual spray or a "piss in the wind" like the green tops .
and what size is the maf 83 mm ?
that really looks like a good match injectors-maf and runing well with minimum tweaking on the X chip.
