stock front? If the ratio of front to rear is the same (or able to be the same) with both types, what does it matter if both bars are stamped with the same logo? And Neuspeed is over priced at ~$260, but not the H-sports at ~$370?????

As opposed to only a 4mm increase in the rear. You also get the added benifit of decreased weight off the front end with the hollow H sport. And since you are getting two bars for $400 its a better deal than one for $270. Don't get me wrong the neuspeed bar was a fine product because for a long time it was the only thing available, but now a better product is available.

Different combination than your standard (Neuspeed only in rear or H-sport front/rear combo). I agree with S4mig - why upgrade the back and not also do the front.
Would have gotten the complete Hotchkiss setup but I got a good deal from Eric @ DUH-Engineering on the H-Sport front bar. I would only go this route with aftermarket suspension, however. Stock suspension with this particular combo is likely not ideal, IMO.

The ratio of neuspeed/stock is almost exactly the same as the ratio of the H-sport bars; ~1.5. So both of the H-sport bars are bigger, but the effective difference is essentially the same. Yes, you get a bigger bar up front, but because increasing the front bar would cause more understeer, they had to make the rear bar bigger as well. Sounds like perfect marketing to me. Remember, these are just BARS. They are a stopgap solution for an imperfect suspension design. There is no reason why you should "upgrade" the front bar just because you're changing the rear.

and why would this only be good with aftermarket suspension? Typically upgraded suspension starts to diminish the need for sway bars, to the point of sometimes running no bar at all when running very high spring rates.

I assume you are trying to reduce understeer by installing a stiffer rear bar. However, putting on a larger front bar negates much of the effect of that stiffer rear bar. You have effectively increased the spring rates during cornering of your front and rear suspension now, which has its benefits (and negatives) but your front to rear ratio is now close to stock again, which is balanced towards understeer.

justify my purchase. :0P
I haven't thrown away the stock front sway bar, so it's there if I need to go back. Point well taken, however!
