Default Anyone one use dynomat or equivalent to reduce exhaust volume/drone?

Just wondering if anyone has done this to change the inside cabin drone/volume or tone.

Thanks.

Default theoretically speaking dynomat should help out a lot but I've never tried it because I have no drone

Default Absolutely

Use dynomat extreme. Best bet is to buy the bulk pack off of ebay for under $100. You can probably do 2 cars with that. Its just not the amount but the specific locations you place it to have the best effect. Under the rear seats and also the trunk by the spare. Don't forget the door panels especially the rails inside. Makes a huge difference. for better speaker sound the rear deck is also recommended.

Default I have it, helps a lot. Not so much for drone, but for general noise

Default 10-15lbs. People that say that its too heavy need to get a reality check on how much of a pig

our cars weigh in the first place.

15lbs is marginal.

Default The best thing about dynomatting is if you do the doors properly...

when you close it, it adds a nice "THUNK" like an expensive Benz. You can bust your ear drums the first time.

Default I use it, but not for that purpose. I use it for my stereo setup so the trunk dosn't have the ghetto

rattle. The car and sound so much better now that I did. You can stand near the trunk and hear no vibration. Open it and it get loud. It would most likely help in your situation considering how I use it in mine.

Default Locations for installation

I would love to do this - could you give a little more direction on exactly where to put it and what panels to get it underneath? TIA
