Default Okay Folks, here are the Final Dyno numbers after day 2...(Sorta Long)

This time around i'm using pure 91 only. Last dyno run i was on a mix of about 92-93. Click on link below if you haven't seen the first dyno run (day prior)

Day was about 60-65 degrees. I printed the wrong sheet. Best last night was 244 whp and 314 tq but the dyno sheet you see is at 242 whp and 302 tq. After we finished tuning for 91 octane we wanted to see what it would do with a bit of race fuel. We made a mixture of about 95 octane and pulled 258 whp and 322 wtq. Just so you guys know my base run from the day prior was at 194 whp and 275 wtq. A stock S4 did ~170 whp on that same dyno. and a stage 3 did 282 whp and 308 wtq! I know some of you guys may be skeptical of these numbers...a few actually thought that we changed settings on the dyno machine so this time around we had a camera filming the dyno computer the whole time so let me know if you want the file (its a VERY large file!) Doc suggested that I start from scratch so we set lemmi back to default with the exception of a few degrees advanced timing. First run I was able to pull 217 whp and 285 wtq. Car is definitely a lot faster now especially with the higher octane.

I did a FATS test and it was funny, first test I got a 5.38 but the car feels soo much faster WTF! (If you haven't seen the dyno day 1 post then you'd understand what I meant by WTF) I thought about it a little and decided to try it again except this time I'll try going WOT a little earlier in the rev band. Threw the numbers in Mark P's FATS calculator and my eyes were just pinned on the screen for a second...4.71!!! LTFT's are about the same as Day 1.

How is everyone testing the FATS times these days...what RPM are you going WOT at? I don't believe we ever set a specific RPM so all this time all of my starting points have been mixed around. Looking back at all my logs it seems as all the high FATS times were started a bit late in the Rev band.

I think my injectors are almost maxed out after calculating injector duty cycle. Not as bad as some Giac X logs I've seen however. Some suggested that I should get a 5 bar...wouldn't I have to get bigger injectors as well?

Anyway, I'm really happy with my results. Special Thanks to Paul at EIP for all his advice and help and would highly recommend him to anyone in the Bay Area. I'm helping Swank and another local with their piggy pipe install tomorrow morning at the shop so I'm going to sleep now. Cheers!

Default Start FATS runs between 3000 and 3500 RPM....at least I try to.

You don't need to go bigger injectors with 5 bar. People who run stage 3- run stock injectors with 5 bar.

It seems like something is wrong with your baseline run. That is super low if stock is ~170 whp.

Default I guess what it boils down to......

You are now where you're SUPPOSED to be. For whatever reason, that baseline run is way off the norm. Your tweaked curves/#s are more like what the car should have been running without much, if any, tweakage.

Default well, when I meant stock I didn't mean bone stock...more

that car was a APR stage 2 so the guy had an exhaust and did a test run on APRs stock mode. Sorry didn't clarify that.

Default Cat-back exhaust does jack sh*t really. APR stock mode is stock enough.

I still say there is something majorly wrong with your baseline setup, especially if you were pulling 6.x FATS times with stage 2/2+....even on craptane. Forgetting all that, you are now where you should be. Congrats

Default yeah i guess, before tweaks, I was able to edge away from E46 M3's on 91, now...

i should pull away easily. Weird that with just a bit of higher octane I'm pushing more tq than a stage 3 car (Ko4's and awe fueling kit?)

Default LOL! Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense. Honestly, hard to believe this stuff.

As long as you're happy, nothing else matters.

Default Wow, that is impressive...assuming you are on 91 octane.

Default after the dyno today i had about 10 miles left showing on the trip so I filled half tank of 91

Might be a bit left. Last mixture was ~95 octane
