Default yeah, I also figured I'd blow some compressed air in there first

see how good that does before I add anything else to the mess

Default Good, that tool will help a lot :)

My guts are in a twist just thinking about it. I hate getting a tiny bit of antisieze on the side of the coilpack hole, dirt like that would give me a fit.

Default I always use an intake snorkel

This is how it looks, but I do have the two side engine covers on (over the coilpacks):

Default i think it's fine given your mileage and the manner in which they are dirty according to location.

Default Update: Spark Plugs were loose in cyl #1 & #2...

It turns out my misfires were due to the spark plugs in cyl#1 and cyl#2 being loose enough to unscrew with just the socket and extender (no socket wrench or handle).

I took a pic of cyl#2 as well, so here again are 1-3. 4-6 were just as clean as #3. The dirt apparently was some form of blow by coming from the cylinder, not the outside world.

Which ones look different to you? ;-)

Cleaned everything up and reinstalled and now all is well again.
