Default Interesting point...

What about Water Injection, or a cockpit controlled misting kit? With a good WI system, you CAN run it on the sreet as needed. (I just paid for mine, and I'm waiting on parts.) The same goes for a water/alcohol misting system, though unless it's tied into the fueling system, it's less "streetish" I suppose.

Default Those are interesting plots. But its hard to make anything

very useful from them. Due to a couple reasons(please comment or correct me here, I'm just rambling )
1)One fan was blowing on Diego's car, so the other IC didn't have air moving over it?
2)Diego was also using alcohol/dry ice sprayers to artificially lower his temps.
3)The fmic is only having air over one of its hotside tracts due to the one fan(much like point #1).
4)Dynos could be exaggerating one or the other.
5)Any iat datas for highway runs in comparison to you and Diego? And FATS data?
6)Race gas will negate some of the largest benefits of the fmic, ie knock suppression and run to run repeatability.
7)I'm over-analyzing this.

Default Interesting thing is I dynoed at Harman 9 days before the event and got the exact same numbers as I

got yesterday. Yesterday I was misting and a week ago I was not, yet I still got 467whp both times on different days. I actually installed the IC misters on Friday night hoping that it would give me 30 or so hp so I could hit 500 or close to it, but obviously it made 0 difference at my power level. I do agree with you that on a lower hp setup the misters would really bump up the numbers. It seems we have hit some sort of hardware limitation no matter what we do as you can see by the comparison between Diego's horsepower numbers and mine. It is damn near impossible to have 2 different cars running different MAF housings, DPs, exhaust, intercoolers, and intake to put down within .5whp or each other. There is something else going on here at this HP level. I believe it to be a flow issue.

Default Agreed on the flow issue. Time to install some

modified turbines or housings?

Default Very good points and your right, that's quite rare to see numbers so close.

Kudos to both of you for sure. Very nice numbers.

Default One last comment :) hahaha most just state GIAC

But it would be nice to know if it was stage III GIAC or standard X, could save some money for those.. Just putting GIAC with a stage III car, yet it is running stage II software is a lil misleading.

Also, that APR car didn't run very well (that's unfortunate) and well the O.CT car, we expected that.

Default The REVO file was a custom tuned race gas program and the GIAC file was a 91 pump file.

As you can see the REVO program made alot of power but was very unsafe for the car. Drew was unhappy and didn't want to run the risk of causing damage to his car running that file on the street. So he asked Jeff to flash his car to GIAC and all Jeff had was a 91 program. Here are the plots from both programs.

Default That plot was from Garrett's Mustang dyno. Here are some pics of the fan setup. It was more than

enough to ensure consistent air to both IC setups.
Also Diego was not running his misters while we were at GIAC and mine were not even installed yet.
