Long story short I was merging into the left lane
to get to an on-ramp to merge on the highway and found myself behind this black B6S4. Well lookie lookie! He had a nice chrome AudiSport license frame and as we took a left onto the ramp, he floors it. There were cars on the on-ramp, about 200 yards in front of him as he guns it, so I let him suck down some gas and I calmly just let him walk away only to see his brake lights come on! Ah, $2.00 a gallon, thank you very much for wasting at least a gallon of gas in that thing. Hey if that thing is heavier it helped him out a bit Everybody safely merges on the highway, although home boy was riding ass, I just kept shifting at around 2500rpms and letting the little ko3s develop that nice low end torque. As the left lane clears, and no one in front of him and I am a good 2 car lenghts behind him, he hits it! We were going about 70 and he hits it and I was in 4th and downshifted to 3rd so he had a slight jump. but after his little jump it was like there was a piece of metal bar connecting the two cars. I really expected him to walk a little, do to the clamied high end pull of the v8 and our little k03s running out of testicular fortitude! We slow down to 70ish this time keeping her in 3rd and when the left laner pulls to the right, same thing, but surprisingly when I shifted at 6000k into 4th, I pulled just a little and shot over to the next lane. He put on his brakes and I mirrored his speed. Gave him a thumbs up and the craziest thing was that he said he didn't know mine was a S. Don't know the dude, so I can't read his facial expression but I could kinda tell he wasn't very happy. I once again complemented his car and he said nothing about mine. Not that bothers me but I know if I were in his shoes the outcome, althoug it was a draw, it would have bothered me. Oh well. Sorry about the long story. Oh and for you analitical dudes/dudettes, temp here in Jacksonville was 71 I had 1/2 tank of gas. By the end only a 1/4 tank, thank you very much. My 2001.5 has milltek superdual and a chip. I will now take questions from the audience. |
