Default Repost for the weekday crowd: New Hybrid K04 turbo options now available from Achtuning!

INFO:We are calling it the K04/RS6 Hybrid. Here are the specs: Custom CNC machined/modified RS4 compressor housing to fit the larger RS6 compressor wheel matched to a Billet Aluminum CNCd backing plate. Add to that, our zero-clearance option and you have one seriously insane turbo. The best part is that this all this fits just like a standard K04. It's been a long process (about 6 months) to get to this point. We have taken our time and done things the right way.

COSTS: If you would like a set of these You are looking at only $3500 for a set!! Send us your own K04s and get the new RS6 turbo internals installed for only $750 per turbo. These are INTRODUCTORY prices and will not last long. Introductory Pricing on Zero-clearance for $450 per turbo. Add Ceramic Coating for $150 per turbo. If you buy turbos with RS6 wheels and ZC you get free Ceramic coating!

Here is the wheel out by itself

Here is a good comparo pic:

For those really with a bad case of TurboItis, we have TWO MORE stages! We have a larger turbo housing available and we have two steps larger in wheel sizes :O You can see one of those options in the pic above and below. For now we are just calling it the Uber wheel

Here is a sneak peak of the MACK DADDY of all compressor wheels: (this is for one of the "larger" turbo housing options discussed above). Prices and info on these to come soon.

Default I will hopefully be doing some dynos of the ZC K04's with APR stage 3.

I'll probably do a before plot with my current stage 2+ setup, then again with stage 3 and ZC. I'm sure it will be a few weeks before everything goes together though.

Default I assume the two wheels larger than the RS6 don't fit in the K04 housing? Correct?

So does that mean cutting the subframe to get them to fit?

Default Nice Josh, not a fan of having to rebuild my turbos every 2 years for ZC applications however

Default more like 4 weeks!

They said that normal stage 3 tuning will work adn there is no special tuning yet IIRC. They should flow more air with the same requested boost as k04s on regular k04 software.
