Lower Ball Joint Options

I need to replace my lower front ball joint (the one that goes into the guide link). However, the dealer only sell the entire link with the ball joint for $280!!!

Is there a VW or other ball joint part that is a direct replacement?

OK. That price is much better, but do you have just the ball joint?

I'll take your word on it. However, in the Bentley manual, there are instructions for pressing the ball joint out/in (and all the VAG tools to do it). Thanks.
