Default Before I leave, some dyno sheets to ponder:

This dyno sheet was produced on our in house AWD dyno. It shows:

wheel power of our in house 2001 S4 avant with our full RSK04 turbo kit, prototype air/air intercoolers, AWE/McNeil downpipes, AWE Tuning Twin2, and latest M ECU GIAC chip for the full RSK04 turbo kit

vs.

wheel power of a 2001 S4 avant with K03 turbos, GIAC X chip ver. 08, AWE/McNeil downpipes, AWE Tuning Twin2.

Both tests done on 93 octane pump fuel, with dyno room temps in the 80s. 4th gear tests.

wheel power of our in house 2003 Porsche 996TT.

Both tests done on 93 octane pump fuel, with dyno room temps in the 80s (same day). 4th gear tests.

Remember that I posted how our S4 avant outran our 996TT at high triple digit speeds. Granted, it was not a blow out, but it did start to creep away (video proof to come soon). The 4.11:1 final drive of the S4 vs the 3.44:1 final drive of the 996TT probably helped there.

I'm leaving for the evening soon, so I hope this thread doesn't turn into fodder for the haters. That would suck to come back to tomorrow!

Default Todd the only issue I'd have is that Garrett's cars always seem to be tuned

just fine power wise on the dyno, then kind of fall apart over time. None of the Garrett chips are particularly smooth throttle wise, but some drivability issues really need to be addressed. You know I don't have a hater issue with you guys, I've bought plenty of things, and have defended you guys on AW lots of times.

Are there any M or T box cars in Cali running the AWEK04 kit that I could check out? Any chance of bigger turbos on the horizon, not looking for more psi (esp on 91) but more cfm up top.

Default I hear you...

That is why we drive the cars everyday, in all weather.

Once the software is fully dialed in, the maladaptation issues go away. Fully dialing in means collecting lots of data from lots of cars in lots of environments.

We have quite a few RSK04 kits in northern and southern California. Let us get the final chip versions in some of these people's hands, and I'll see what I can do to arrange a demo for you.

Propietary larger turbos are in test phase now... that is all I can say at this time.

Default Oh, and a stock S4 puts down ~195whp and 210wtq on our dyno for comparison.

Default Cool, thanks for being up front about this stuff. I'm pretty familiar with the A car's state of

tune, I really want to see some Hitachi sensored cars logs and/or get some ride time (especially with the nightmare 91oct we have here). Thanks again!

Default Todd I got a guestion for you. Why is it that some ECU types...

give different power output? This is not directed at AWE since all tuners experance the same thing. Really curious as to why.

Default Because the codes are different, and some tuners spend more time on a certain box than another.
