...well, that was fixed by an alignment. I had some severe toe out in the rear, and that will definitely make an S4 handle spooky. My setting I went with at the alignment was 1/32nd toe-in FWIW. Also, I have since decreased the front rebound on my shocks by a one-quarter revolution, so it is probably at just a little under 50% of available rebound now. Also, of note, the suspension's ride and handling is DonP-approved. ;-)

Here are my posts on my impressions:
Stasis are installed...FUUUUN Pics of my S4 with Stasis Coilovers... I need more rear downforce to sort out my high-speed steady state oversteer issue... It's amazing what 2 small sweeps of adjustment to Stasis' Koni shocks can do... More rear rebound adjustments... I increased my front rebound to get rid of front to rear bouncing at 30mph... Rebound adjustments seemed to have helped my high speed steady state oversteer issue Alignment fixed my high speed steady state oversteer issue; more rebound adjustments

...and as I said, that was 1/32nd toe in. AFAIK, ride height determines camber. Other than that, I just let the guys at the shop take care of it.

align, it's way out due to the addition of the CPP arms (tried to get them right but not that close). I'll drive it through about wednesday of next week, during which time I will corner balance, make any final (small) adjustments to ride height, and let them know how I like the handling. They will re-check the settings next friday and I should be through
![]() FWIW, I have a very scary rear right now over bumps and I am 99.9% sure it's caused by the severe alignment issues. |
