Default UPDATED: 3/4 Throttle Position Based On Vag: 86.3%...

...with the 3/4 Throttle Mod:

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/935010.phtml

When I depress the throttle fully, it's now at: 86.3%.

So in simple English: without the rubber stop, when I fully depress the accelerator pedal, it's at 100%. When I add the rubber stop and now fully depress the pedal, it now becomes: 86.3%.

So, the rubber tip is taking away about 15% of the total accelerator pedal travel.

Hope this helps.

P.S. The 3/4 Throttle Mod should now be called the 6/7 Throttle Mod. :-P

Default cool...just gotta log the acceleration with this and compare to stock....fwiw, funkweasel did alert

me of something odd, that may be related....

as you roll off the throttle a bit while say, accelerating in 2nd gear after ~5k rpm, you can feel the car almost want to lunge forward still...and no, i don't think this is the momentum of the driveline...if you try it in third, you can feel it too, to try and eliminate that feeling of the drivetrain momentum (engine/tranny)

Default By gawd, I think he's got it!! Absolutely Mikey, you go from WOT to little less

And the car surges forward (like prior it's way RICH, then as you pull 5mm back, it leans up and allows for more power!).. I was playing with my throttle this eve and you get to 100% prior to hitting the floor.

So what if you space it just so it barely hits 100% or even 99%, what happens.

Someone mentioned TIP kickdown code still in the manual ECU coding (correct or not, that could explain somethings)

Whatcha think?

Default And in English for us non-scientists, what does Funk's findings mean or imply?

Default lol...yeah, yeah...i admit it, i understand you now :p

i have no clue what it is...maybe it could even be a lag of reading the pedal's position as it rises back (throttle plate stays open longer)...but i doubt it..that would mean that all the values would be messed up....no idea man..sorry.

Default that there could be some acceleration residual below 100% throttle...but that

didn't affect the car's acceleration IMO when it's at 100%...i mean, the car runs fine at 100, as i've seen in my car
