Default Chaka, thanks for the ride in your K04 Motorsports S4 ... Now you got me thinking !! Help.

Such great, linear pull all through to redline...Amazing, even with just the APR test chip.
And the spooling sound now is just so SICK !

Help me, dude. Could you list all the parts that you changed out or are going to change out ?
Pricing would also be much appreciated.

Basically, I want to know the extent of the work involved and the bottom line.

Default Heres the skinny and then some.

First of all I want to clarify a few things since I'm getting emails asking why I didn't do this or get someone to tune that.
If you want a turbo upgrade kit ready to go with tuning etc, AMS has one. It is a very nice kit and the Abt turbos spool up real nice. There kit cost about $6700 for just the turbos and install, programming is extra as well as what ever downpipes you want and of course RS4 clutch, pressure plate and flywheel is not included. There kit would have cost me about $14K in mods for the S4. I was considering getting this kit after driving x-ricers car but it didn't pan out do to timing and most importantly cost.

My kit consists of K04 motorsports with RS4 inlet pipes and the RS4 pressure plate and clutch. You can get it from Josh D. $3200

Downpipes and exhaust is Miltek and can be purchased from Strat $2900

Apr software to get me by until more parts are availible to get me to the 400hp range. $600

And of course install was $500 and a case of beer.

So my total cost in mods total now is less than $7200. I say less, 'cause most people can call Strat or whomever and ask for a better price than what is on the website. I just don't want to say I paid $700 for an exhaust and everyone badgering them to sell it for that price. Get it?

Finally, you get what you pay for question. Yeah its true. Like I said it before if you want a complete kit that will get you about 375 hp on stock injectors, the AMS kit rocks. My kit is not running as strong or lets say as tuned as theirs because the Apr program is just to get me by until other things are availible.

I know this is more than you asked, but I just needed to get this out so I don't get emails asking me the same stuff.

Default hehehe... I would but than I would have to kill ya.

I got it done at Dynamic. The guy does not want to see another Audi in his life. He is way too busy to do another anytime soon. Maybe in 6 months or so, but he already has some others lined up.

Email me for details

Default so its around 7k for AMS k04 + labor...

while the way you went you got k04ms, dp's, clutch, exhaust, APR software for around the same price?

are you getting fuel injectors too to take advantage of the k04ms?

Default That is correct. No injectors yet. The AMS kit doesn't come with them either.

Default You are correct....

AMS setup only includes turbos, ECU and labor. The way we went includes all the other parts for a "total setup".

Only contention with the K04 motorsports is that the tuning is nowhere near final. But that is to be resolved soon enough.

Default yeah right. Something nobody mentions when getting bigger turbos, you have to get brakes ASAP.
