Default Great pics! Those calipers are SO lite too! :)

Mine go on Friday!

Default The lines that Stoptech carries (Swedish company, I think) are absolutely beautifully made...

Not only are they SS, but the construction is simply outstanding. Over the braid is a continuous heat resistant tubing that protects it and it goes right into the sleeve that covers the crimp.

I replaced all of my lines with the Stoptech ones because one of the Goodridge lines that came with the Brembo kit failed (thankfully while the car was parked). The plastic collar had burned away and th line was frayed right where the crimp is.

Default thx, was wondering who had rear SS lines since apr didn't have any

btw, how many bottles of brake fluid did you get? i only got one (500mL)...although the instructions said there should be 1000mL (2 bottles). guess i have to wait until tomorrow to call APR.

might not use the AP 5.1 fluid and go w/Motul 600 anyways since it's got a higher dry and wet boiling point:

AP 5.1
Dry boiling point: 500 F
Wet boiling point: 356 F

Motul 600:
Dry boiling point: 585 F
Wet boiling point: 421 F

Default I agree...the fronts are really nice!

Bummer about the Goodridge lines. They are supposed to be a high-end line too.

Default Yeah, the rear lines should be part of the kit, IMO.

Yeah I only got 1 bottle too. For a complete bleed, you need 2 bottles. I think APR is assuming you just need to "top off" with the bottle they give you?

Default comparision of the stoptech hat vs. apr

a pic i found from the europeancar jetta stoptech install (the hat is shaped differently on the jetta, but you can see the directional vent).
