Default Average mileage out of a set of Falken Azenis RT615?

The tires are for my S4 and it is a daily driver, but I was curious how many miles I can expect out of a set. I will be attending 2 or 3 autox this season but will mostly be driving on the street with them. Also, I would only assume they are pretty bad in the rain, but would anyone happen to have first hand experience?

TIA.

Default Most wouldn't recommend them as a street tire for a daily driver.

Default Go with the FK 452 instead...

I've had them on my UrQ, when I still owned it, and on my CQ. They were nice and sticky, performed well in the rain/snow, were relatively quiet and did great on the race track during driving schools. I even did a few auto-x events with the UrQ and they did just fine. They were great tires for daily usage. They only negative thing I could say about them was they had a tendancy to hunt around a little. They liked to try and find every little imperfection on the road.

Default wet performance aside, they 'last' as long as most other summer UHP tires

I had almost 20K on 'em in my A4 when I sold the car, and they weren't quite shot. now I have another set on my RX8, but only ~7K miles so far. cheap thrills, lotsa dry grip, rigorous ride characteristics.
excuse the crude analogy, but these tires are like having a sex-crazed slutty hot G/F....not ideal, but everyone needs to experience having at least once in their lives!

Default About 1000 miles on these. 70% track time

I take them off after track weekends but they are not bad on the street. Grippy, fairly quiet. A bit "coarse" compared to my Pirelli P Zero Neros. I have no idea of street milage, but they seem to last "forever" in track use. I've done 8 days so far ,and they look about half done. Have not driven them in rain.

Default I didn't like them for track duty.

The chunked like a mofo, and got slick after 5 hot laps at my 3300# track weight last year. I'd recommend the Hankook RS2, of which I've owned 2 sets and am very happy with for double duty.

Default Those are my track tires - also have some street time on them

I've got the RT-615s on a set of low priced but functional wheels for track use.

Car came with some Pirelli P6 All Seasons 235/40/18s - those Pirellis are fine on the street (where I drive like a grandma) but horrible on the track. So I run the P6s on the street, run the RT-615s on the track. One track weekend on them but I really like them. Grippy but communicative and predictable.

RT-615s on the street - drove them for about two weeks to knock the new off and I was pleasantly surprised. Too stiff a ride for me but not horrible. Rain performance was suprisingly good, not as good as the P6 but pretty good considering it was a monsoon (SF in Feb.).

If I was going for a high performance street tire I'd want more comfort. But after doing track days, I drive even more like a grandma on the street, so I'd probably shoot for more comfort than performance.

track day.

Default Yes but you have never driven Talladega GP Raceway have you ? :-)

Three tire grinding 180 degree third gear turns in every lap. Not a great place for awd cars.
Two days there resulted in more wear than three days at Daytona and three days at Barber combined. Even though it is closeby, I probably won't do it again.
