Default 20vt Waterpump Measurements

Howdy! Got another quick request, does anyone have a 20v turbo waterpump lying around? I would like to get some quick measurements from it to compare to the RS2 waterpump.

TIA!

Default Measure this...

Looking for measurements on these parts.

I just wondered if the pulley was a different size or the impeller was larger if possible.

Also if you can snap pictures to compare that would be excellent. Maybe we can confirm the RS2 waterpump is a better unit...

Cheers!

Default here are your measurements...

both the sprocket side and the propeller side measure 70mm in diameter.

hope this helps!

Default more measurements...

035 121 004 A
The box notes a cross to 035 121 005 E.

Passat, Audi 80/100
Audi 200/200 Turbo
Coupe 1.9/2.2l

impeller: 2.83" (71.88 mm)

I couldn't get a good measurement on the pulley because it has a "cap" and my dial caliper couldn't reach far enough to get the diameter of the pulley surface. The cap was 3.283" (83.39 mm). The pulley surface diameter isn't that much smaller than the cap and it is by far larger than the diameter of the impeller, so it is much larger than archiboy's.

HTH,

Default Hold the phones, I am seeing some major differences here...

OK first question, since I assume the pictures from Archiboy are the 3B pump, how does the AAN and ADU tension the timing belt, obviously not via the pump as with all the 5 cylinders I ever worked with?

Now I am seeing a tensioning device for the relay roller on the AAN, but not the 3B, so that must be it right, there is a self tensioning or separate tensioning device aside from the pump on the AAN, ABY, ADU.

OK so what I am getting to is that the RS2 pump would only work for the AAN, ABY, not the 3B, different tensioning mechanisms. The RS2 pump pulley is smaller, 64.5mm, than the AAN pump which is looking like over 80mm, but the impeller is roughly the same size. Now that would lead me to believe the RS2 pump is going to spin faster than the stock AAN pump at the same RPM, right?

If I am correct an AAN, ABY should fit the RS2 pump with the RS2 belt and have a faster flowing coolant system, no?

TIA!
