Default K&N FIPK for TT

Anyone know of an online dealer with TT FIPK's available?

Neither the K&N dealer links or any of the others I've tried from the links page on audi-tt.org or auditt.org seem to have any available (most don't even acknowledge such things exist at all). I would think this would be one option even chipping didn't rival in popularity.

I know there are alternative means to the same end from other manufacturers, but I'm really interested in tried and true K&N.

Default AFAIK there is no such thing available from K+N...Pipercross might be a good alternate

You know you're right. I went back and checked on K&N's site and it's just an air filter (PN#33-2128) and not a FIPK. It might not even be a full FilterCharger.

I just wonder if the Pipercross or other solutions would work as well as the K&N products for other autos.

Default I dont see why it shouldnt..You could if you really wanted to get the Pipercross and put on a K+N co

If you are convinced of K+N's superiority that much...personally I think back to back they would be real close in performance.

Default It's the name...

It's not so much "superiority" per se. I'm new to Audi and European tuning in general (I've driven a Z28 since 1994 when it swept Bang-for-the-Buck in Motortrend that year by the widest margin of the competition). But for over ten years now K&N has been what people "swear by" for drag racing and street use. What ever the car may be.

Even the occasional reading of European Car or some of the mags for performance compact cars all feature K&N in their performance modified cars. I've never heard of any of these other companies who are more or less cashing in on a market that K&N owns and has a specialty in. It's just a no-brainer.

Is the Pipercross the most popular cool-air bolt-on for the TT?

I'm trying to determine the order of my upgrades with this being the first. Then most likely a Borla cat-back and/or APR chip. Then either a cross-drilled break upgrade or wheels.

Default K&N's site and catalogs don't always have newest FIPK's listed. No TT I believe.
